Term papers and research papers

Term papers and research papers are specific types of academic written assignments. The notions term paper and research paper differ from an essay in that these terms describe different pieces of writing and the causes behind them.

Essays vs. research papers and term papers

While an essay could be any relatively short piece of writing, regardless of whether it is intended for education, narration, or job report, a term paper and a research paper both describe a certain situation behind these pieces of writing.

Both term paper and research paper are rather lengthy pieces of acedemic writing, which:

• must be completed over a specified period of time
• must comply with the requirements of the professor and the educational establishment
• have a specific and often individual theme or topic
