Milinder recycling company Since the Milinder Recycling Company has experienced the significant growth over the past two years, it meets with some serious problems along with the benefits. One of these problems is an extremely high turnover rate, especially among new hires. This leads to labor productivity slowdown and lost profits, as well as to worsening of moral atmosphere in the organization. The main reasons of the turnover rate are low salary, absence of career growth, bad relations with managers and co-workers, inconvenient time-table, inconsistency between worker’s abilities and a position held by him. To solve the problem means to solve all the reasons that cause it. But it is possible to mark two main options for addressing the problem. The most popular and quick means to reduce the turnover rate is advance of wages and financial stimulation. As insufficient salary is the main reason of worker’s quit, wage-push will definitely reduce turnover rate. It doesn’t mean that the administration has just to increase workers’ profits. Special monitoring of wage level should be held by the personnel managers, and the salary rate should be brought into line with similar workers’ wages from other enterprises. The monitoring costs will be much less than costs for new staff recruitment. It is acceptable that the workers will get additional payment for better work and labor productivity. However such financial stimulation can lead to the situation when workers will refuse to fulfill some insignificant duties without extra charge. At the same time the company can invest money into social infrastructure and improve working conditions. One more way to avoid employee turnover can be personnel reengineering. Reengineering means firm, impetuous and breaking through reorganization of company management. It is one of the methods to conduct organizational changes in the firm, which are directed at the improvement and optimization of firm’s functioning. It will entail some expenses and time to get a wishful result, but will bring significant changes into company work. Thus it is necessary to analyze and evaluate all workers and positions they held, and transfer them to other departments or positions that are more suitable for them. In this case the employees will carry out work they like and can do, and their labor productivity will increase as well as their wish to work. Besides this, new rules and areas of departments’ and single workers’ responsibility should be introduced. An old executive system can be changed by the new one (for example linear into matrix). And new ways of motivation can be instituted according to the new control system and areas of responsibility. After this, changes in corporate culture and values will take place. And gradually all these changes will solve the problem in a company such as the Milinder Recycling Company. Bibliography 1. Champy, J.
